DANIEL SMITH Seattle Store: The Store For Artists
This weekend at the Seattle DANIEL SMITH Store we have both the unusual, Egg Tempera and usual, Watercolor (from a different point of view!) for our FREE “How To” Art demos.
Saturday, Koo Schadler (an occasional Gage Academy of Art Instructor)will be demonstrating: “EGG TEMPERA: A Comprehensive Beginners Guide“. It has been awhile since we have had an Egg Tempera demo and this will be a great introduction to it. Koo has a wonderful “History of Egg Tempera” on her site that you might want to check out and be sure to see her lovely Egg Tempera Paintings on her website.
Sunday, Tom Hoffmann (a Gage Academy of Art Instructor) will be demonstrating: “WATERCOLOR: Painting Realistically by Seeing Abstractly“. In an earlier Watercolor Demo Tom told us that painting is a process of editing out everything but the essential visual keys. He later added that he “prefers to leave something for me [the viewer] to add to the piece”.
Come for Fun, Information and Inspiration!
