<div>The name of the mineral <strong><a id="wjo3" title="Rhodonite - Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodonite"><span style="color: #800080">Rhodonite</span></a></strong> comes from the Greek word for rose, <em>rhodon,</em> and was historically made into vases, platters and mantles in Russia.  It is now often used for jewelry and here at DANIEL SMITH we take jewelry quality stones and make them into <strong><a id="at6n" title="DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine Watercolor - Rhodonite Genuine" href="http://www.danielsmith.com/Item--i-284-600-167"><span style="color: #800080">Rhodonite Genuine Watercolor</span></a></strong> and <strong><a id="o.3j" title="DANIEL SMITH Original Oil - Rhodonite Genuine" href="http://www.danielsmith.com/Item--i-284-300-122"><span style="color: #800080">Rhodonite Genuine Oil</span></a></strong> Paints.</div>

<div>As you can see in the video, <strong>Rhodonite Genuine</strong> is a beautiful rose pink ranging in color from very dark in the tube, to rich medium pink and on to sheer glowing pink.  Our Rhodonite Genuine has an excellent lightfast rating, is low staining with no granulation, and is a semi-transparent watercolor paint. </div>
