Saturday, January 9th, we have Gary Greene demonstrating “Painting with Color Pencil” and sharing his techniques for creating color saturated painting with color pencil, check out his slide show of his paintings, just amazing.

Day One: Tired of struggling with watercolors, oils, acrylics, or pastels? Discover the exciting, creative, and versatile medium of color pencil. Learn about various color pencils, paper surfaces, and related materials or tools. Students will complete a study using layering techniques. Open to all levels of art experience. Participants under 16 admitted with instructor permission only.
Day Two: Learn to create vividly realistic colored pencil paintings using the “burnishing” technique. Gary will give a brief discussion of the burnishing process, and step-by–step demonstration. Participants then complete a painting from supplied notes and visual aids.

Sunday, January 10th Janice Seino, will be demonstrating painting with acrylic and sharing tips on making textured surfaces and manipulating the surface to expand the creative expression.

 

 

This weekend we have a terrific variety of FREE “How To” Art demos at our Seattle DANIEL SMITH Store: Watercolor with Deborah Stachowic, Color Pencil “Painting” with Gary Greene, and Pet Portraits in Acrylic with Kelly Lyles.   PLUS, we have a mid-day 101 Workshop on “How To” use our DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Sticks with Che Lopez.
