Just recently we have expanded our ART 101 Workshops based on the feedback from Bellevues’ successful Watercolor 101 Workshops last year with Che Lopez.  If you have been curious about learning “How to” work in a new Art medium, these Art 101 workshops are a good way to get a basic introduction to them.  The DANIEL SMITH Stores we now have ART 101 Workshops currently scheduled for:

PRINTMAKING 101: Screenprinting
with David Pruneda
Exploding back into popularity in the last decade, Screen printing is a versatile and exciting form of printmaking. We will explore techniques used for printing multicolor images on paper as well as fabric. Session one: Learn the history, terminology, and materials. Session two: Put that knowledge to use, creating finished prints with guidance and supervision. A class for beginners, both sections are limited to 10 Students. Call to reserve your spot!

This May there are two Watercolor 101 Workshops
with Che Lopez at the DANIEL SMITH Store in Bellevue .
Saturday May 3rd and Saturday May 17th
both are one hour from 9 to 10 am
and are $10.00 each day.

The cool thing is that each student will receive a $10.00 coupon to use toward the purchase of art materials!

This is a basic watercolor class where you will learn to stretch and staple watercolor paper, choose a basic watercolor palette, and learn about the features and benefits of watercolor brushes. You will also learn to create a simple wash, wet on wet methods, and dry painting techniques.
So if you always wanted to learn how to paint in watercolor, here is a great way to get you started!
Be sure to register early because class sizes are limited!
