For this coming weekends FREE “How To” Art demos at the Seattle DANIEL SMITH Store, we will have two different Pastel demos, one on Saturday and another on Sunday, and a Mixed Media on Ampersand Panels demo on Saturday.

 
Saturday, Ben Edwards, from CRESCENT CARDBOARD, will be demonstrating how to work with Pastels on Black Backgrounds, there should be some great tips for Pastel drawing/painting on Black Crescent Boards and interesting techniques to add to your repertoire!

Saturday, Natalie Oswald will be sharing tips for working on Ampersand Panels with Mixed Media.  Natalie did a demo last November on Acrylic and Oil Painting on Gessobord at the Seattle Store and you can read about that demo here.  Ampersand Panels are great ready-to-use, then ready-to-hang panels for painting on.  Come and find out what great ideas you can pick up from Natalie at this demo!

Sunday, Barbara Van Dyke-Shuman will be demonstrating Pastels with Pizzaz.  Come to the demo to watch and learn how to work in Pastels as Barbara shares her Pastel Tips.  Check out her Gallery to see her gorgeous, lush Pastel Paintings for inspiration!  Coming to the demo is a great way to sample Barbara’s teaching, because she has a Workshop November 1st at the Seattle Store.
